100 punk rock songs: 7-12 by Michele Christopher
Hey, we're getting there. 12 down, 80something to go. Don't make me do math in my head, ok? 7-9 are turtle's, 10-12 are mine. 7. Black Flag - Rats Eyes - A song that was definetly at the end of their career. Something in it. Something. I don't know what, grabbed me. It was slow and it was angry and it just sounded like we were done, but no matter what they saw and the shit you pulled they would always be there watching. Cause they stopped sleeping and they stopped caring way before you inhaled your first gasp of air. They were done before you started and now they just watched from the shadows and waited. 8. Fang - Berkeley Heathen Scum - A song I liked cause it was in a scene I was in. This was punk rock. This was being in a town where you were hated by hippy bongloads and college students at the same time. Saying to them 'hey dude, fuck you, I'm tired of your shit and you are all bothering me so go fucking away." The song rocks and the words are out of it, but I still had a good time listening to it. download 9. Angry Samoans - Lights Out - Hey dude. Theres not much to say on this song except to quote them. "We weren't the best but we rocked the hardest." Jesus, dude. What the fuck was with these guys? A band from LA in the LA scene who fucking didn't care about anything but breaking things. While others were singing about love on a couch they were singing about poking your eyes out with a fork. I'm telling you, this song rocks. *Disclaimer* This blog has no responsiblity if you poke your eyes out with a fork. download
11. Exploited - Sex and Violence 12. GBH - Knife Edge
Also, we will be doing a car tonight. Got a suggestion for one? We're listening. |

Another song, Jodie Foster's Army - Jodie Foster's Army. Can't get much punk than chanting the same three words over and over.
Car: Hard to follow a GTO. How about a Hemi Barracuda?

Since you're asking, might as well ask for the baddest of the bad, the 1962 Shelby Cobra. Built from inception to kick the ass in most embarrasing fashion, of any and all challengers to go up against it. This thing eats Ferrari's for breakfast. The speedometer goes up to 200mph and after that it just says, 'Oh Boy'. Granted most of us have never, or will ever get to ride in one but fuck it.

Guys, if you want to be in this all you have to do is write up a few sentences about the song in our same format. well, three or four sentences really and email us and we will put it up.
at the end we can all decide the order

Now.. a car. an early 70s, say '71, Monte Carlo. One of the few good-looking cars of the 70s.

I will work on some songs. As for a car, another suggestion I have is the 1987 Buick GNX, one of the rarest and baddest ass vehicles ever made.

I really tried to get with Slip it in back in the day but I just couldn't do it. I mad the mistake of buying the First Four Years as my first Black Flag... the only thing that came anywhere near that one was Everything Went Black. Henry and Ginn destroyed that band. More Ginn according to Dukowski (I argued with him on Lexicon Devil once) You're right on with Lights Out -mega tune.
Michele, all I can say is, you rule.
