Pirates of the Carribean, At World's End, Quickie Review

We caught the 1230 show this afternoon, came home, let Max pee, then went out for Mexican food. It was a good day.

I don't get the "professional" critics panning this movie. The movie runs 2 hours and 45 minutes long and the time basically flew by. Unlike the second Pirates, which was dull, fast, dull, fast, with too many endings, this one starts off slow and then continues to build until the last 45 minutes of the film which is just a breathless roller coaster ride as all the plot lines are tied up in the middle of one of the most amazing sea battles ever.

There's a great deal of satisfaction at the end of this movie. I'm not going to blow it for you with any details but for a summer blockbuster, it delivered...well.

Oh, and Keith Richards as Captain Jack's father? Not what I expected, but very well done.

If you're a fan of the series, it's a very satisfying experience. If you didn't like the first two, you're not going to have much fun at this one.

Oh...and the talk that this is the last one? Ummmm, they might be taking a break, but don't count on it being over.

Before you ask, I took my last Vicodin last night.

I can't wait to see it! It actually took me forever to see the first two but when I finally did it really left me anticipating the third! Thanks for the thumbs-up cause the "critics" were making me nervous!
