The Reverend Jerry Falwell passed away today apparently after losing a battle with heart disease.

I'd like to be a better person and tell you that I'm sad at his passing.

I can't do that.

I'm not saying that I'm happy he's dead, but I didn't like the man.

My take on Christianity is best wrapped up by a a phrase I heard Father Malakai MacCool use in one of his talks. "Everyone is welcome at my Father's table." He gave that talk shortly before he left the Priesthood because he was tired of getting heat from The Church for administering sacraments to openly gay AIDS patients.

"Everyone is welcome at my Father's table."

It's a simple rule. So many people seem to miss it.

Honestly, I do hope that Rev Falwell made it to his Father's table. It's just a wild guess, but I'm betting he it will be a different table than I get to sit at when I'm ready to go.

BONO DON'T LIKE NO SMOKE

It seems that smoke from fireplaces in the building inhabited by U2's lead singer Bono is drifting into his own penthouse, and he doesn't like that. So he talked to building management, told them that he'd do anything he could to assist them in fixing the problem, and the two entities are amicably working toward a resolution.
